Dirty Electricity

Q. What is "dirty electricity"?

A. The electricity that comes into your home comes in at a frequency of 60 cycles per second. In its pure form it is known as "clean electricity." These days there are other, higher frequencies that piggyback on the normal 60-cycle signal. These higher-frequency signals are called transient spikes. Transient spikes are also known as "dirty electricity."

These transient spikes are also produced in your home by various appliances—computers, printers, wi-fi, baby monitors, televisions, and energy-saving fluorescent bulbs and light dimmers ... just to name a few.

Q. Why should I be concerned about "dirty electricity"?

A. The earth has its own, low-frequency field which is the environment that supports all living matter. This low-frequency field is used by all bio-forms, especially by migratory creatures (birds, whales, fish, butterflies, etc.) to make their way back and forth in the world. It is also how bees find their way back to their hives. It is this low-frequency field that enables both birds and fish to move synchronistically, as when you see a flock of birds turn quickly, keeping their formation intact.

The high-frequency fields (EMFs) that humans have introduced into the environment—dirty electricity being a part of these fields—are not only the wrong frequency, but are far more powerful than the earth's frequency, and thus create disturbance of the earth's magnetic field, and confusion for all living beings—plants, animals, and humans. This situation can, and is, threatening life on the planet as we know it. Also, there is major concern about dirty electricity because studies show that these transient spikes can and do affect humans, plants, and animals negatively in other serious ways.

Q. What can I do about "dirty electricity"?

A. The very best way to deal with "dirty electricity" is first to find the source of it. It may be coming in on external wiring (TV cable, phone line, power line), and/or it may be coming in on the utility water line, and/or the gas line. It's also possible that it's being created within your home, as mentioned above—by computers, printers, wi-fi, baby monitors, televisions, and energy-saving fluorescent bulbs and light dimmers ... just to name a few.

After discovering the source of the dirty electricity, there are a number of ways we can deal with it to bring it down to safe levels. The best way is to get your body voltage down. This needs to be done in consultation with an EMF service professional like myself, or a building biologist. It could include turning off electrical circuits that are creating the dirty electricity, and/or re-wiring circuits so that they're all grounded correctly.

It's also possible to use filters.

For more detailed information about dirty electricity, I recommend Dr. Samuel Milham's book, Dirty Electricity: Electrification and the Diseases of Civilization. It is important to note, however, that what is suggested by Dr. Milham about buying and installing Stetzer filters, should not be done without testing by an EMF service professional because many people are sensitive to the magnetic fields that Stetzer filters produce.
